Certification Requirements: Candidates for certified positions must meet certification requirements of the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Inquiries should be sent to the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Certification Department, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Support Employees: The Tulsa Board of Education requires that all employees submit a birth certificate or other evidence of birth, and have received a High School diploma or equivalent before they can begin their employment.
All new employees must declare that they are citizens or are otherwise authorized to work in the United States by signing the Employment Eligibility Certification (Form I-9) published by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service.

Eligibility Pool - The eligibility pool identifies candidates from which placement administrators and principals may select teachers for school assignments as vacancies are confirmed. Candidates awaiting a teaching position may register for substitute teaching.
